APRIL Group had a groundbreaking ceremony on May 22, 2015, for their third paper mill facility to meet increasing export demand for premium and high-value digital paper products.
The ceremony was graced by guest-of-honour Minister for Industry Saleh Husin, who was hosted by APRIL Group Indonesia Operations Managing Director Tony Wenas and RGE Director Anderson Tanoto.

The IDR4 trillion (USD300 million) state-of-the-art facility is expected to have a multiplier effect, positively impacting small and medium enterprises and at the same time creating additional employment opportunities in the region.
The facility, known as PM3, will use 100% plantation fibre from existing sources. This will increase APRIL Group’s existing production capacity from 820,000 to 1,150,000 tonnes per year. The additional output will be for export markets.
Minister Saleh expressed his support and optimism of the paper mill facility:

Mr Wenas believes with PM3, APRIL group can continue to derive greater benefits and maintain its competitive edge, while bringing good to the community, the environment and the economy.
