2020 is a breakthrough year for the RGE Legal team.
In July 2020, RGE Legal was named as one of Singapore’s Top 12 In-House Teams by Asian Legal Business (“ALB”), a member of the Thomson Reuters group.
On 15 October 2020, the team scored another accolade by winning the ALB South East Asia Energy & Resources In-House Team Of The Year Award at the 16th ALB SE Asia Law Awards, which was announced at a live pioneering virtual event. The Law Awards celebrate legal excellence by recognising the outstanding performance of in-house legal teams and private practitioners across the South East Asia region.
RGE clinched the Energy and Resources In-House Team of the Year 2020 award!
The win pays tribute to the Legal team’s efforts in supporting RGE’s growth and expansion, through M&A, EPC, financing work, and legal-tech implementation in 2019, which embody RGE’s Core Values (Complementary Team; Ownership; People; Integrity; Customer; Continuous Improvement).
In addition to the above wins, RGE Legal was also named a finalist in the following awards in 2020:

RGE Head of Legal: A Testament
Rose Kong accepts the Best In-House Team award on behalf of RGE Legal.
RGE’s Head of Legal, Rose Kong, said the accolades validated the legal team’s efforts, dedication and professionalism not only in 2019, but the many preceding years of being a business partner providing value-added lawyering services to the various business groups.
She added, “I am proud to be leading a team of professionals who are publicly recognised across multiple categories in these various Asia-focused legal awards. This is a testament to the team’s hard work and professionalism, and how we have contributed as a value-adding corporate function to the RGE group’s growth and expansion.”
